Last Nkala, a 43-year-old man from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is fighting a heart breaking battle with chronic kidney failure. His life now depends on dialysis, which he must undergo three times every week. Each session costs USD $100, an amount he simply cannot afford—especially after losing his ability to work due to his worsening health.
Alongside dialysis, he needs essential medication costing USD $100 every two weeks just to keep his body stable. These overwhelming medical bills have put an unimaginable strain on him and his family, who are doing everything they can to keep him alive.
But there is hope.
He has a chance to receive a life-saving kidney transplant in India, offering him the possibility of a future free from constant pain and suffering. The transplant, however, costs USD $30,000, far beyond what his family can manage alone.
