About the Campaign
My name is Mamady Yerroh Jalloh. I’m a father of two beautiful children and a passionate writer living in Liberia, West Africa. Life has been a constant struggle—from war and loss to economic hardship—but I’ve never stopped believing in the power of words, hope, and second chances.
I fled from war-torn Sierra Leone, seeking refuge in Liberia. While trying to rebuild my life,
I’ve been raising my children alone under extremely difficult conditions. Currently, I’m
behind on six months of rent, unable to provide consistent meals for my kids, and facing
mounting pressure to give up on my dreams.
Yet, I’ve kept writing. I’ve published three books that tell powerful African stories:
– Long Lost Relations – [Available on Amazon]
– Sankara’s Ghost – [Available on Amazon]
– The Fear of a Free Africa – [Available on Draft2Digital]
I write not just to survive, but to speak for the voiceless and to share strength with others
who are suffering.
This fundraiser will help me:
– Secure 6 months of rent
– Feed and care for my children
– Purchase a basic laptop for my writing and online work
– Build a stable writing income through Fiverr and blogging
Every dollar you donate will be life-saving and life-changing. I’m not asking for luxury—
only for a fair chance to get back on my feet and provide for my family.
If you’ve ever faced hardship, or believe in helping others rise, please support us.
With love and deep gratitude,
Mamady Yerroh Jalloh
