About the Campaign
We are looking to help children of convicted felons with their tuition and other educational needs. Most convicts in Zimbabwe prisons were breadwinners in their homes. By committing a crime and getting arrested, most of them leave their families barely surviving. The ones who suffer the most are their children who cannot continue with their education. We feel that education is a basic right for all children and that they should not be affected by the bad decisions that their parents and guardians make. As such, we want to make sure that we can give these kids a second chance at a successful life.
In addition to this, we are going to be mentoring and coaching jailed youths so that they don’t re-offend. We would like to give them a starting point by offering them support and a listening ear after they are released.
